Jeralyn was nominated by Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois inRock Island, and Chelsey was nominated by Prairie Middle School in Cedar Rapids.As State Honorees, each will receive $1,000, an engraved silver medallion, andan all-expense-paid trip in early May to Washington, D.C., where they will jointhe top two honorees – one middle level and one high school youth – from each ofthe other states and the District of Columbia for several days of nationalrecognition events.
